Developer IMPROBABLE announced on November 11 that the service will end on December 16 this year on the Prep Survival TPS SCAVENGERS . This work is providing early access to PC (Steam/Epic Games Store).

SCAVENGERS is a free survival shutter set on the earth, which has become a harsh ice planet due to the catastrophe. It is a PVP game that supports up to 60 players, and is a EVE game where hundreds of NPC enemies appear. Players choose from character classes with unique weapons and abilities, form a team of three and participate in the game.

The goal of each team is to acquire data points by capturing the base of the enemy NPC and eventually escape from the earth. While fighting monsters, wild animals, and mighty bosses, they compete with other teams with other teams. In addition, there are elements of survival games, such as the need to secure food and maintain body temperature. At one point, the escape shuttle arrives, and the team on the shuttle with the most data points wins.

This work launched early access distribution in April 2021 at Steam and Epic Games Store. Initially, the number of simultaneously connected players at Steam exceeded 16,000, but later decreased significantly. In recent months, the number of simultaneous connection players has been in the double-digit level (Steam db). In this presentation, the developer IMPROBABLE has been studying various things for revitalization due to the shrinking player base, but it is difficult to develop this work and continue to provide live services. He explains that he has reached.

Originally, this work was developed by IMPROBABLE's studio Midwinter Entertainment. It is a studio established by veteran developers involved in AAA titles such as Halo, Call of Duty and Battlefield. However, the studio was acquired by BEHAVIOR INTERACTIVE in May this year. At this point, the dissemination of information about this work was cut off. Although this point was not mentioned in this announcement, it may not have been possible to continue the service as a development system.

SCAVENGERS will end on December 16 this year. In addition, it seems that this work is still available at the Epic Games store, but the distribution has ended in Steam.
