Overwatch 2: Season 3 Might Revolutionize The Competitive Mode Of The Game
The release of Overwatch 2, initially, encouraged a considerable portion of Blizzard-Hone franchise fans some users say it would be easier to update the first title.
However, with new content, new characters and many other surprises, production knew how to maintain the interest of the active community. Nonetheless, it is inevitable that the ranked mode always has a problem to be pointed out by the independent players of the game in question.
UNUSUAL RANKED GAMES?
Here is what many players complain about the competitive mode of Overwatch 2. According to many, the matchmaking system is not ideal and sometimes puts players with very different classifications against each other. This would have bothered many users, who would be tired of being crushed by a team that obviously should not have faced them due to their classification. To summarize quickly, classified games are created based on each player's MMR, regardless of their skill level. At the end of each match, the value earned or lost depends on several factors, such as the MMR of the opponents or the date of the last match played.
Although it has been worked for a long time by Overwatch 2 developers, this matchmaking system does not appeal to players.
Blizzard Answer
In season 3, for competitive games, the number of wins/losses needed for competitive updates will be reduced: 5 wins instead of 7 or 15 losses instead of 20. In addition, a new variable will be introduced and will ing together players of the same function with a similar MMR (internal association classification). In a post on the official website, Aaron Keller, director of the game, explains that the new ranked game system was not very well understood. He adds that changes will be made in season 3, which will arrive on Feuary 7.
